Obesity is epidemic disease involves an abnormal and excessive fat accumulation that negatively affects the health. According to fat distribution three phenotypes of obesity can be recognized first abdominal obesity with metabolic disorders ( AOMD) , secound metabolic obesity with normal weight ( MONW ) and third “healthy” obesity phenotypes . AOMD and MONW is associated with increase visceral fat deposit and as a consequences insulin resistance . Obesity has negative impact on spontaneous conception, miscarriage,pregnancy ,long term health of children and impair the outcome of assisted reproductive technologies .Early onset of obesity particularly during adolescence , favours the development of menses irregularities , chronic-oligo-anovulation and infertility in adulthood. Weight loss through lifestyle modification or bariatric surgery has been demonstrated to restore menstrual cyclicity and ovulation.
