Objectives: Evaluation of cases of ovarian cysts which were managed by laparoscopy in last five years. Materials and Methods: We carried out a retrospective review of 366 cases of ovarian cysts that managed laparoscopy in Dept. of GYN in March 2011-March 2016. Clinical presentation were- heaviness in lower abdomen, pain in abdomen , dysmenorrhoea, menorrhagia, infertility. In addition asymptomatic women found to have an ovarian cysts as an incidental findings on USG . Results: The mean age was 30+_4.5 years.13 cases were between 11-14 years age. Dermoid cyst (19%), endometrioma (43%), par ovarian cyst(11%), serous cyst adenoma(16%) , mucinous cyst adenoma (5%), sertoli-leydig cell tumour (1%), mixed type tumour (5%) like-serous tumour in one ovary and PCOS in other ovary, dermoid and serous, dermoid and chocolate cyst, endometrioma and PCOS. Associated Comorbidities were-frozen pelvis, sever adhesion with adjusent structures, omental adhesion. Surgical procedures were- salpingo-oophorectomy, oophorectomy, excision of cyst, cystectomy followed by electro cauterization. Gynaecological others surgical procedures were drilling of ovary,tubal surgery,tubal ligation, myomectomy, fulgaration and cauterization of endometriotic deposits.Mean diameter of the cysts 10-24 cm, mean duration 30-40 mins, post operative hospital stay was 12-24 hours. We follow-up patients for 1 year,the patients did not report any complications during follow-up and the clinical examination findings were normal in all patients 1 year after discharge. Pregnancy rates were also satisfactory-live birth-81% ,ART 7%. Conclusion: Laparoscopic management of ovarian cysts is a beneficial method and various pathological conditions also could be treated effectively in a single laparoscopic operation. It is safe when performed by experienced minimal invasive surgeon.
